5 Things to be Grateful for This Holiday Season

Sparta-Consulting-Group-Hollywood-Florida-Holidays
It’s the holiday season, Christmas is just days away… and if you’re like most people, right about now you’re stressing about last minute gifts, airport travel, and a draining bank account. But at Sparta Consulting Group in Hollywood, in more ways than one, we do our best to not be like most people! Maybe we’re rebels, or maybe we’re just Spartans!

Whatever the circumstance you find yourself in this year, it’s important to take a moment to reflect on all of the wonderful (and often-overlooked) parts of your life.

If you work with (or own!) a company that you love, you shouldn’t take this for granted. Here are five things to appreciate about your current career:

1. The faces you see every day
Maybe your office is one big happy family — or maybe you have a few special people at work whom you just click with. There’s nothing like a work BFF, right? If you look forward to seeing these people each morning, consider yourself lucky! Be thankful for the people around you who bring light and fun to your workday.

2. Room to move up
Let’s face it, there are way too many jobs out there that lead nowhere. If you work with a company where you’re confident you can advance, you should be counting your blessings! Sure, it will take hard work, but be grateful that the opportunity is yours for the taking.

3. A growing skill set
In order to thrive in your career, there’s no choice but to continue to learn and grow. It’s trite, but true, that your learning shouldn’t stop the day you graduate from college. When it comes to your career, every skill you develop makes you a stronger player in the game. If you’re lucky enough to acquire new skills at work, be grateful that you’re becoming a stronger asset every day.

4. Great mentors and role models
If you’ve got great people to look up to, you’re ten steps ahead of everyone else. There’s nothing like having a coach who provides you with valuable feedback. If you’ve received guidance from a mentor this year, be sure to express your gratitude this holiday season.

5. Insight about the future
If you’ve read this list and you’re feeling miserable, there’s hope for you if you’re not happy in your current role! If you feel stuck in a dead-end job that you hate, choose to be thankful that you’ve ruled out something you don’t want to do. Reflect upon what your next career move needs to be, and be grateful that you’re about to grab 2016 by the horns!

It wouldn’t be a holiday blog post without a few pictures from our holiday party! Check out some fun pictures of Sparta Consulting Group from last night’s bash.
